Homicide detectives investigating after body found in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A death investigation is underway after man's body was found lying on the grass in Glendale early Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The investigation began when the Glendale Police Department was notified at around 7:30 a.m. that "a male subject was found lying in a grassy area" near 56th and Peoria avenues.

Officers arrived and found that the man was dead, and homicide detectives were called in to investigate.

Police said the man is unidentified. His cause of death has not been determined.
