SUN CITY, Ariz. — A suspect was hospitalized after a homeowner in Buckeye allegedly shot the suspect during a home invasion, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
MCSO says the burglary suspect was transported to a hospital to be treated, but said his condition is unknown at this time.
The shooting happened near Buckeye Road and S. Palo Verde Road in Buckeye.
Further details on the shooting have not been released.
Detectives are responding to the scene to work the active investigation.
