PHOENIX — Last week was a successful one for the Arizona Department of Public Safety as troopers stopped and seized hundreds of pounds of drugs that were headed for Phoenix.
Within one hour on Thursday, Jan. 18, DPS troopers seized roughly 459 pounds of meth, 148 pounds of fentanyl pills and 2.55 pounds of cocaine across three separate traffic stops. Authorities estimate that the drugs were worth around $1,285,000.
Investigators learned that the drugs were being taken from southern Arizona to Phoenix. Six people were arrested on felony drug-related charges, according to a release from the department.
