PEORIA, Ariz. - A Peoria man was arrested after he posted sexually explicit images and videos of his ex-girlfriend on social media and threatened to kill her and her family, court documents say.
According to court documents, 24-year-old Eric Dantonio threatened to publish the sexually explicit images and videos to social media outlets if his ex-girlfriend didn't pay him money.
Dantonio's ex-girlfriend called police Tuesday and reported that Dantonio also threatened to kill her, her children, her family and burn down the hospital where she works.
When Dantonio did not receive the demanded money, court documents say he posted the images and videos to the Internet through social media. He also sent the sexually explicit material over Facebook messenger to his ex-girlfriend's mother and friends.
The sexually explicit material, according to court documents, depicts "graphic sexual activity" between Dantonio and his ex-girlfriend.
Dantonio's arm and hand tattoos made him identifiable in the material, while his ex-girlfriend's face was concealed. However, her voice could be "clearly heard and identified" by friends, family and the investigating officers.
Dantonio also made threats against his own family, court documents say.
Court documents show Dantonio has Bipolar disorder.
Dantonio was arrested Wednesday and is facing charges related to extortion, making threats and the unlawful distribution of sexual material.
