CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — A Chino Valley man has been arrested after allegedly having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl, according to the Chino Valley Police Department.
Police received a tip from the Arizona Department of Child Safety on Friday, July 12 after the department received a call from a church camp in the area. Camp employees told officials a 14-year-old girl reported that a family friend had sexual contact with them, police said.

Police took the victim to the Yavapai Family Advocate Center for an interview the next day where she told officials of several alleged occasions when the suspect sexually abused her, police said.
Detectives were able to establish probable cause and arrested 46-year-old Michael Andrew on charges of sexual abuse of a minor, molestation of a child, voyeurism and public sexual indecency.
Andrew was reportedly one of the girl's parent's "best friend from college" and the children called him "uncle," according to a probable cause statement. The girl was also friends with Andrew's children and would spend the night frequently.
Court documents show that Andrew admitted involvement in the case after police had the victim call him and ask for him to stop while officers were listening in.
Andrew was not affiliated with the church camp but is a gymnastics teacher, police said, and they believe there may be more victims. He remains jailed with no bond.
