BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A West Valley man has been taken into custody after shooting at a police officer in north Buckeye, according to a social media post from the Buckeye Police Department.
The department said officers were called to a home on 262nd Avenue near Runion Drive around noon on Saturday due to a report of domestic violence. That area is just southeast of the intersection of Beardsley Parkway and Canyon Springs Boulevard near the Copper Canyon Golf Club.
The first officer to get to the home saw a man in the backyard of the home and called for him to come out. The man then moved out of the officer's view, and the officer heard shots fired in their direction.
More officers soon got to the scene and the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
No one was hurt. The suspect has not been identified.
This is a developing story and more details will be added as they are made available.
