GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man was injured after a shooting involving masked suspects in Glendale.

According to the Glendale Police Department, a man was in his driveway around 4:30 a.m. near 59th and Peoria avenues in Glendale when someone approached him with a flashlight.

At first, the man reportedly thought it was one of his friends playing a joke, but he quickly noticed three to four masked suspects standing near him.

One of the suspects had a gun and they all began to attack the man. He was able to run away from the suspects but was shot in the leg while fleeing, police said. The man made it to a neighbor's house as the suspects returned to the man's home.

Authorities said the suspects forced a woman in the home into another room while they ransacked the house. Officials added they do not know if anything was taken or the motive of the attack.

The only description of the suspects is "masked individuals." The man was taken to a local hospital by Glendale fire where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
