PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. — A man previously acquitted of a sexual assault charge in 2020 has been arrested again for similar allegations in Paradise Valley.
Tevin Favor, a former Arizona State University football player, was taken into custody on June 5 for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on April 21.
Court records show the woman told police that Favor, 32, was her personal trainer and had invited her to a house party at the home of a football player. While at the party, the woman claimed Favor kept serving her alcohol and started touching her.
The woman told police she instructed the suspect to stop and later woke up to him on top of her, records show. During the alleged assault, the woman texted a friend to come help her. The friend pulled her out of the room and they took an Uber ride home.
Text messages exchanged between Favor and the woman after the incident show the suspect acknowledging some type of sexual activity had occurred between them, records show.
A couple of days after the alleged assault, Favor deleted his social media accounts and searched the woman's name in his email inbox -- which police found to be suspicious.
After his arrest, Favor allegedly declined to speak with investigators.
The suspect has been investigated for prior cases involving allegations of sexual assault.
Favor was arrested back in 2018 for allegedly assaulting a woman in a Scottsdale apartment. That criminal case went to trial and the jury found Favor not guilty in 2020, records show.
Paradise Valley police are asking anyone with additional information about this case to call 480-948-7410.
