William Brady Jr. was indicted back in January 2003. The Tempe was man charged with 11 felony counts, including sexual exploitation of a minor and dangerous crimes against children.
“The mere possession of photos and images is a serious crime,” said Sgt. Jamie Rothschild of Silent Witness.
Investigators say Brady had more than 3,000 pornographic images of children in his possession. Police say he purchased, viewed and distributed pictures of nude kids as young as 9 years old.
Brady accepted a plea deal and served five years for his crimes. He registered as a sex offender and was ordered to receive counseling and regularly check in with a probation officer.
The now-57-year-old is accused of violating his probation by viewing pornography and failing to adhere to other court orders. Court documents show Brady is also alleged to have masturbated in public while viewing pornography.
His probation officer believes Brady to be medium-to-high risk to re-offend.
“If you have someone with this interest, we need to make sure justice is served to protect community if someone has unhealthy interest in children,” said Sgt. Rothschild.
Considered a threat to the community Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
