Arizona man allegedly assaulted by group of people near gas station in central Phoenix

Police say the man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after the incident, which happened near 24th Street and Indian School Road.

PHOENIX — A man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in central Phoenix, the city's police department said.

Phoenix police officers were called to the area of 24th Street and Indian School Road around 8 p.m. on Saturday for an assault. 

When officers got to the area, they found a man with multiple stab wounds. The man told officers that a group of people assaulted him near a gas station and "walked home" after the incident, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police are searching for possible suspects.

No other information was given.
