2 teens shot in central Phoenix

The shooting happened Wednesday night near 16th Street and Van Buren.

PHOENIX — Police are investigating after two teens were shot in central Phoenix Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the area of 16th Street and Van Buren around 8:30 p.m. to investigate a shooting call.

When police arrived, they found two teenage males with gunshot wounds.

The teenagers were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Phoenix Police Department. 

Detectives are investigating what led up to the shooting. 

There is no suspect information at this time.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
