According to early reports, authorities were called to Interstate 10 near 7th Street regarding a stolen vehicle. When officers found the vehicle, it failed to yield to a traffic stop and drove off the highway.

It was then tracked to the area of 21st Avenue and Cactus Road where the two people inside abandoned the car and ran away on foot. Officers found and arrested both individuals, police said.

Details are limited as the case is still under investigation. Police expect to have more information soon.
