GLENDALE, Ariz. — The suspect who allegedly shot two people Monday afternoon at a Glendale bus stop has been identified as 26-year-old Dominic Celaya, court records show.
The shooting, which police believe was random, happened at a bus stop near 51st and Northern Avenues in Glendale just after 2:30 p.m.
The two wounded victims, identified as 69-year-old Richard Hodakievic and 24-year-old Jaquey James, have both reportedly died from their gunshot injuries, records show.
Jose Santiago with the Glendale Police Department said a man fired shots into the air north of the intersection, then crossed Northern Avenue and randomly shot the two men who were waiting at the bus stop. The suspect then ran from the scene and jumped over fences into a nearby neighborhood. A K9 officer helped track the suspect down to a backyard and the suspect was taken into custody, Santiago said.
Celaya's girlfriend allegedly told police they had gotten into an argument that afternoon which ended in Celaya exiting their car, walking across the street and shooting his gun, court records show.
