Argument in Valley neighborhood leads to shooting that seriously injures 2 men

An argument broke out in a West Valley neighborhood, which ended with shots being fired. Here are the latest details.

PHOENIX — An argument between two men in a West Valley neighborhood ended with both of them in the hospital after being shot, according to Phoenix police

Police said officers were called to a neighborhood near 33rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street due to the shooting just before 5 p.m. on Monday.

When officers got to the scene, they found the two men who had been shot. They were both taken to a nearby hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said their investigation showed the two men had gotten into an argument that led to one of the men pulling out and shooting the other.

That shooting led to a family member of the man who had been shot pulling out a gun of his own and shooting the first man.

Police said they have identified and taken everyone involved into custody and there is no threat to the community.

No one involved has been identified.

This is a developing story and more details will be added as they are made available.
