PHOENIX — Two men have died after a shooting in Phoenix early Monday morning, city police said.

Officers were called to the area of 67th and Highland avenues where they found the two men "with at least one gunshot wound each," according to an early report.

When officers arrived on scene they found Jose Jimenz, 34 and Marquz Booker, 21, dead.

The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Jessie Olvera, allegedly ran away, according to police.

Olvera was later found at a home in the area of 73rd Avenue and Sanna Street in Peoria. Olvera was arrested after a barricade incident at a nearby home.

Officers say during an interview Olvera allegedly made incriminating statements.

Olvera was booked on charges including second-degree murder.
