MARICOPA, Ariz. — A fourth arrest has been made in connection to the deadly shooting of a teenager in Maricopa back in November, according to authorities.
The Maricopa Police Department said the 16-year-old boy was shot in the Maricopa Meadows neighborhood on Nov. 22. The teen was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

A 17-year-old is the latest person arrested in connection to the shooting.
Investigation revealed that the deadly shooting happened when a group of juveniles planned to rob two people. Witnesses reported seeing the group run from the area after the shooting.

"The group met with two people under the pretense of purchasing vape cartridges. During the incident, the juveniles, who were armed with handguns, assaulted the sellers," police said in a news release.
Police said the individual who was shot was involved in the planned robbery and not one of the intended targets.
Three others are also facing charges in connection to the incident.
