PHOENIX — A man has been hospitalized after a shooting in central Phoenix and now a search is underway for the person who shot him, according to Phoenix police.
The department told 12News they were called to the area of 4000 N 16th Street, just south of Indian School Road, just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday due to reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a man who had been shot. That man was taken to a hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Officers are still in the area searching for a suspect and have called for K9 officers to come in and assist with the search.
Police did not release any information on the person they are looking for and no additional details about the shooting have been released.
