A 12-year-old was arrested in Arizona and charged with making a threat against a school in Wisconsin

The girl was taken into custody by Buckeye police after they were contacted by the South Milwaukee Police Department. Here are the latest details.

BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A 12-year-old Arizona girl has been arrested and charged with allegedly threatening a school in Wisconsin, according to the Buckeye Police Department

BPD said that they were contacted by the South Milwaukee Police Department early Sunday morning as an investigation about a threat made to a school in that city was made from an IP address in Buckeye. 

Buckeye police officers then went to the home associated with the IP address and interviewed a 12-year-old girl about the threat and "recovered evidence." 

Officers arrested the 12-year-old girl. She has been charged with felonies, which include making a terroristic threat. 

"No threats were made against Buckeye schools, and the community is not in danger," Buckeye police said in a post on Facebook. 

No other details about the case have been released.
