TUCSON, Ariz. — A father in Tucson is facing criminal charges following the death of his 10-month-old baby.
On Oct. 21, paramedics responded to an apartment complex for reports of a baby experiencing a seizure. The child was taken to the hospital and was found to have sustained serious injuries from blunt-force trauma, police said.
Tucson detectives interviewed the child's father, 28-year-old Jimmy T. McElroy, and arrested him on charges of child abuse. Police were notified on Nov. 5 that the baby had died.
Police said the father could now be facing a murder charge.
