1 injured after shooting in west Phoenix

Police officers were called to a house near the border of Phoenix and Tolleson on Saturday morning.

PHOENIX — A man is injured following a shooting in west Phoenix, near the border between Phoenix and the city of Tolleson.

Phoenix police officers were called to a house near 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road just after 11 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

At the scene, officers detained a woman involved in the incident and took her to the police precinct to be interviewed by detectives. 

Information regarding the identities of the people involved in the incident and the details leading up to the incident were not released.
