Man killed in overnight shooting in Glendale

The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. near 43rd and Olive avenues, police said.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man was killed in an overnight shooting in Glendale, according to the city's police department.

Glendale police said the shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. near 43rd and Olive avenues.

Officers were called out to the area after multiple reports of gunfire by people in the neighborhood.

Officers found the victim, later identified as 24-year-old Cruz Antonio Santillan. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive, police said.

A suspect in the shooting has not been identified, police said.
