PHOENIX — The 12 News I-Team took a close look at crime zones in Phoenix and analyzed the trends over time.
On Monday, we looked at the top five crime zones in Phoenix and what connected all of them. On Thursday night, the I-Team looked at which pockets of the city are seeing more instances of violent crime in recent years.
From 2017 to 2018, the Phoenix uniform crime reports show most violent crime decreased.
According to police data, while robberies, homicides and sexual assaults all went down last year, aggravated assaults went up.
Certain areas of the city actually had more violent crime compared to the year before as well.
