Tempe tattoo shop gets chance to ink up Mayor Woods

Local tattoo shop celebrating 31 years in business will be honored by mayor and offer discounts to customers

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe’s oldest tattoo shop, Living Canvas Tattoos, is gearing up to celebrate 31 years in business and will also receive a special acknowledgment from the city.

Mayor Corey Woods will bestow the honor of recognizing Sep. 29 as Living Canvas Tattoos Day. Woods will also get a tattoo himself. That’s right!  Mayor Woods will get a new piece of art on Sunday as the shop celebrates its legacy of being the oldest single-owner tattoo shop in Arizona.

Mark Walters, the owner, is also offering up a special menu of tattoos all day Sunday for $31 that customers will be able to choose from. Over the weekend, the first five walk-ins on Saturday and Sunday will receive $31 dollars off any tattoo of their choice.
