Indoor pickleball facility in Glendale hosting charity tournament to celebrate grand opening

The Pickleball Space just recently opened in Glendale and has 10 indoor courts.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Pickleball is big in Arizona. State 48 is home to the first team-based pickleball league, which has grown from six to 373 teams in just four years. The sport is a combination of tennis, ping pong and badminton.

A new indoor pickleball facility just opened up in Glendale and will be hosting a Grand Opening Charity Pickleball Tournament to celebrate.

The Pickleball Space, near Bell Road and 59th Avenue, has 10 indoor courts, an onsite café and is available for private events.

To celebrate the opening, on Jan. 19, there will be free open play from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. On Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, there will be a tournament that will benefit the C4 Foundation, which provides resources and support for active Navy SEALs and their families.

To enter the tournament, register online here at the Pickleball Space's website. The entry fee is $40. Half of the proceeds will go to the C4 Foundation.
