PHOENIX — Arizona authorities are investigating several fatal crashes Sunday morning in the Valley.
Two crashes are on I-10 and one is at Chaparral and Hayden roads.
Fatal crash on I-10 at Ray Road
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the crash on Interstate 10 at Ray Road involved two vehicles and resulted in one death.
Semi-truck crash on I-10 at US 60
DPS says this crash also resulted in a death and a semi-truck was involved.
Fatal crash at Chaparral and Hayden roads
The Scottsdale Police Department said the crash at Chaparral and Hayden roads involved two vehicles and both drivers were taken to the hospital where one died, identified as 46-year-old Ryan Ralph Thomas.
Police say one vehicle was driving erratically and at a high rate of speed and Thomas' vehicle was crossing the Hayden/Chaparral intersection when the suspect vehicle ran a red light and struck Thomas' vehicle.
The driver of the suspect vehicle is in the hospital in serious condition. Police say alcohol impairment was a factor in the incident.
