(TOKYO) Two giant pandas in Tokyo appear to be in the mood for love.
Male panda Ri Ri and female Shin Shin are stars at Tokyo's Ueno Zoo.
The zoo took them out of the public eye last week to encourage them to mate.
New photos show Ri Ri increasingly interested in Shin Shin. Zookeepers say that's because Shin Shin appears to be entering the height of her breeding period.
Shin Shin gave birth four years ago, but the cub died after six days.
Since then the 10-year old pair has failed to breed.
Female pandas can conceive for only a few days a year.
