More than 40 firefighters were called to battle a fierce house fire in Mesa early Tuesday morning.
It happened at a home near McKellips and Gilbert. Arriving crews said there was heavy fire involvement and upgraded the blaze to a first alarm. It took crews approximately 25 minutes to get the fire under control, said Craig Chenery with the Mesa Fire Department.
No one was injured in the fire, and Chenery said the occupant will stay with his family that lives directly across the street.
