Some lucky person in Arizona is a multimillionaire -- and they might not even know it.
Mega Millions announced on Wednesday that the jackpot -- all $410 million of it -- had been won by a single ticket sold in Arizona.
It is not only big news for Arizona, but for the company as well: This is only the second time in 2020 that the Mega Millions jackpot had been won.
A single ticket sold in Arizona on Tuesday night matched all six numbers drawn: the white balls 1, 5, 9, 10 and 23, plus the gold Mega Ball 22.
The ticket-holder wins the estimated $410 million jackpot, or $316.8 million cash. They would also be Arizona's very first Mega Millions jackpot winner.
The ticket was sold at Circle K at 20203 N. 67th Avenue in Glendale.
That was the only major lottery ticket won in the June 9 drawing in Arizona. Other winners included people in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington, Florida, Maryland and Minnesota.
In total, there were 1,130,902 winning tickets at all prize levels in the June 9 drawing, including the jackpot winner.
