Alice Cooper'stown in downtown Phoenix shutters unexpectedly

The shock rock-themed eatery was known for its comfort food and big outdoor patio.

PHOENIX - Alice Cooper'stown is now permanently closed.

The restaurant's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts have all been deleted, and its website is hanging on by a thread. Any email to the restaurant is issued an automatic reply message that reads, "After 20 years, we are sad to close Cooper'stown…Thank you to all the loyal staff and patrons…It was a good run!"

Located just south of Talking Stick Resort Arena and just west of Chase Field and owned by famed musician, Alice Cooper'stown's slogan was "where jocks and rock meet."

The restaurant had been at its location for 20 years and served the sports fans in the area.

Though no details were released as to why Cooper'stown was calling it quits, the managing partner of Alice Cooper'stown mentioned that business in the area has slowed.

"We are very proud of the 20 years Cooper'stown operated in spite of everything closing around it -- it was time to leave on an up note," said Shep Gordon, who is also Alice Cooper's manager.
