TEMPE, Ariz. — One way to celebrate the holiday season is by going to see the dazzling LED displays at World of Illumination.
From now until Dec. 31, pack up the family in the car and head to one of two World of Illumination locations in the Valley, the Tempe Diablo Stadium or Desert Diamond Casino in Glendale.
World of Illumination is one of the largest drive-thru holiday light displays in Arizona. It takes organizers the entire year to prepare for the season.
“It takes about six months to get everything synched up but is all-around a year-round effort,” Hollie Marron with World of Illumination said.
Sean Kameoka, Director of Marketing, said the magical place is ever-changing.
"The great thing is we’ve developed six unique shows, so guests don’t see the same show twice,” Kameoka said.
World of Illumination uses state-of-the-art technology to create rich color palettes of lights that are matched up to holiday music for an immersive experience like no other.
"The shows are typically a mile long, so it usually takes about 25 to 30 minutes to complete," she added.
12News is told World of Illumination utilizes the full spectrum of colors available in RGB technology.
“It's high quality LED lights, so it allows us to control every light by a computer, emitting over 16 million shades of color for each light," Kameoka said.
