Don't miss this holiday tradition: Catch The Nutcracker at Herberger Theater

Performers say the size of the production never ceases to wow the audience.

PHOENIX — It's a holiday tradition you just can't miss.

Ballet Theater of Phoenix and Convergence Ballet Company are proud to present holiday favorite, The Nutcracker!

Cecelia Smith portrays the role of one of the Sugar Plum Fairies and told 12News she loves the spotlight.

"Dancing in front of a crowd is what it's really all about, especially with a holiday classic," she said.

Jennifer Cafarella-Betts, artistic director and choreographer with both Convergence Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Phoenix, said the size of the performance never ceases to wow the audience.

Performances are Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Herberger Theatre, near Van Buren and 3rd streets in downtown Phoenix.

Tickets are $35 and are on sale now at herbergertheater.org

"Featuring the beloved Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Rat King and the heroic Nutcracker, this production features a brilliant new approach to the holiday classic by adding cultural representation and fun for the whole family."
