Little ghouls and goblins are set to take over neighborhood streets in search of the best candy on Halloween. And there's apparently no better place to do that in Arizona than in Gilbert, according to two different studies.
In its list of "2017’s Best Places for Halloween," WalletHub ranked Gilbert 10th -- the highest of any Arizona city.
The personal finance website analyzed and compared some of the biggest cities in the U.S. across nearly 20 different key metrics which included Halloween fun and weather.
Gilbert scored its highest mark in "trick-or-treat friendliness," ranking as high as fourth among the 100 cities.
For its "Best Town to Trick-or-Treat in Every State" list, 24/7 Wall St. ranked a town's trick-or-treating experience based on such things as population of young children, crime, and nearby Halloween-themed stuff.
Gilbert was the best, according to the website's findings.
"The town’s 230,000 residents will have will have plenty of nearby haunted venues to choose from," the website wrote.
Blatantly absent in these studies was which city gives out the biggest candy bars. You know, the important stuff...
