PHOENIX — Nothing says "I love you" like having the Pinal County Sheriff's Office pretend to pull over your future fiancée, right?
Well, that's exactly what happened between Darin and Chelsey.
Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb tweeted out a video of the proposal thanking the couple for letting him be a part of their special day.
In the video, Lamb begins by saying how busy their morning has been.
"But we wanted to take a little bit of time to help one of our citizens out," he said."He wants to propose today so we're getting ready to do that."
Lamb eventually pulled the couple over and said he stopped them for speeding. Chelsey, who was driving, sounded pretty adamant about not seeing a sign indicating the drop in speed.
Sheriff Lamb pulled Darin out of the car to "question" him before he brought Chelsey around. But once Lamb asked her about Darin, she knew something was up.
Darin dropped to a knee and she, of course, said "yeah!"
According to Lamb, Chelsey might just be a big fan of Live PD, which has featured the department.
