MESA, Ariz. — Keith Lee's food tour across Arizona continues!
The popular TikTok food critic was recently in Mesa and decided to stop by a unique Korean hotdog store to try a few dishes.
Myungrang Hotdog Mesa near Broadway and Dobson roads was Lee's latest stop and he immediately took to TikTok to share his thoughts on the small restaurant. He posted his review late Tuesday night.
According to Lee, the restaurant owners reached out to him to stop by and eat a few hotdogs. He said the owners told him it has been a struggle to keep the Mesa hotdog place open. They even thought about closing as they struggled to pay bills.
In the video, Lee takes a moment to eat a variety of different hotdogs from Myungrang Hotdogs. All have different flavors and sauces. Lee took a bite of each hotdog dry and then again with one of the several sauces from the store.
The hotdogs were either filled with cheese or meat.

- Original with sugar - 8/10 with or without sauce
- Squid Ink - 7.8/10
- Sweet potato - 6.5/10 without sauce, 7.5/10 with sauce
- Potato with mozzarella with Cheetos - 5/10
- Mozzarella ramen - 5/10 without sauce, 7.9/10 with sauce
You can watch the full review video below, but Lee seemed impressed by the offerings.
"In my opinion, overall, there's no reason why they should be slow enough that they would consider closing," Lee said in the video. "Especially when it gets to the point where he's trying to figure out how to feed his two kids."
At the conclusion of the video, Lee decided to pay for the meals of people who stopped by the hotdog place after his review to support the small business. The owner said the average meal costs about $10, so Lee decided to pay for the next $2,500 worth of meals.
With Lee's online following and social media presence, he can put an entire area on alert, anticipating a visit to the restaurants he visits. After his reviews, the restaurants are usually slammed with business— what's now being called "the Keith Lee effect."
Here's hoping Myungrang Hotdog Mesa experiences the same effect.
Lee previously visited Republica Empanada in Mesa and gave a glowing review. His followers now must wait to see where he will go next.
