SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Americans love dining out. So much so that restaurant industry sales are expected to top $1 trillion this year for the first time in the United States.

In the first part of 2024, searches for "best new restaurants near me" rose 43 percent compared to 2023, according to Yelp. The online review company put together a list of the best new restaurants of 2024 using trends, reviews and other factors.

No. 7 on the list is a new spot in Scottsdale: Course Restaurant

"Chef Cory Oppold and his team are elevating comfort foods to new heights at this fine-dining spot tucked into a Scottsdale strip mall," the Yelp review said.

The menu is full of creative dishes to take guests on a "journey through flavors, textures, and presentations," from lobster-stuffed corndogs to doughnuts served with caviar and créme fraîche, the company wrote.

The dining experience is "both thought-provoking and comfortable,” Oppold told Yelp.
