PHOENIX — O.H.S.O. is opening a new location on Central Avenue in Sunnyslope that will be home to a brewery and Little O's Market.

The brewing company has been renovating and preserving the 100-year-old building that previously housed the Spoke and Wheel, which closed in 2021

But with an old building like that, comes a fair share of hurdles, general manager Vinny Francini told 12News.

"We are currently awaiting APS to elevate the building's electrical system which has caused delays in the opening," he said. "Under current circumstances, the time table for opening is out of our hands until the building is fully supplied with electricity."

Despite the setbacks, Francini said he's hoping to open in early 2024.

"O.H.S.O. is very excited to be a part of the Sunnyslope neighborhood and to bring back life to this (old) building," he said.

O.H.S.O., which stands for Outrageous Homebrewer’s Social Outpost, made headlines earler this year when the company took over Helton Brewing, buying everything; the equipment, the recipes and the building. O.H.S.O. has expanded to seven locations with a distillery and two more locations on the way, including the Sunnyslope spot.

The brewery had humble beginnings: According to its website, the owners wanted to create a place where guests could come in and brew with their skilled brewers.

"In every O.H.S.O. location, you’ll encounter bike-themed decorations, photos of our guests’ cute dogs on our walls, and representations of our vibrant brewery culture." the website reads. "However, like our kids or dogs, every O.H.S.O. is unique – embodying its distinct character while still being fun, happy, and full of delightful surprises. Each location evolves organically, influenced by the community it serves."

Little O's Market at the new Sunnyslope location will offer breakfast, donuts and coffee in the morning, according to its website, and a grab-and-go section for food, gifts and beer or wine to take home.

The new brewery will serve brunch, lunch and dinner, so you can expect the true O.H.S.O experience.
