PHOENIX — One year after Guy Fieri turned a piece of downtown Phoenix into "Flavortown," the television personality is now venturing over to Sky Harbor International Airport to expand his restaurant empire.
The airport announced this week that Guy Fieri’s Phoenix Kitchen + Bar is one of two new restaurants coming soon to Terminal 4. The other will be SanTan Spirit House, which is part of the locally-owned SanTan Brewing Company.
The new restaurants are part of the second phase of new concessions being added to airport's new concourse. Another new shop getting added is the Fan Shop by PGA TOUR, which will sell several golf accessories.
"These new concessions, including Guy Fieri’s Phoenix Kitchen and Bar and the Fan Shop by PGA TOUR, only add to our growing list of local flavors and fares – ensuring that Sky Harbor is on the top of everyone’s list when it comes to a great airport experience," Phoenix City Councilwoman Ann O'Brien said in a statement.
Last summer, Guy Fieri opened his first sit-down restaurant in Arizona across from Chase Field inside the newly-renovated Caesars Sportbook facility.
The Food Network host has notably visited several Arizona restaurants during the run of his show, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
The new restaurants and shops at Sky Harbor are expected to open by the end of 2024.
