PHOENIX - There is a full moon in the sky this weekend, and a Phoenix park is offering an opportunity for people to enjoy its light in a nighttime desert stroll.
March’s full moon, also known as the Worm Moon, will officially occur at 7:54 a.m. Sunday in Arizona, according to NASA.
The South Mountain Environmental Education Center is holding a “Full Moon Story Stroll” Saturday night, as it does for every full moon.
The walk takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. along the half-mile Judith Tunnell Trail. Attendees can listen to stories and learn about the Sonoran Desert at night.
The Full Moon Story Stroll is $5 per person and doesn’t require registration. You can learn more on the South Mountain Environmental Education Center’s website.
