PHOENIX β Two Arizona puppies have barked their way into the big game and will be participants in this year's puppy bowl.
Cherry and Pecan, from Arizona Humane Society, were among 131 puppies selected from 73 shelters across the nation for Puppy Bowl XX. It's the third time pups from AHS will appear in the event.
The Border Terrier mixes will represent Team Ruff and Team Fluff in competition for the coveted Lombarky Trophy.
The 6-month-old brother and sister duo were born in July and cared for by one of the humane society's Foster Heroes.
When they were old enough, they were adopted out into loving homes.
This is the second year in a row that puppies from the Arizona Humane Society have participated in the event.
Puppy Bowl XX airs on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on Animal Planet.
Cherry and Pecan have found their forever home but AHS has hundreds of animals looking for loving families. If you are interested in adopting a pet, click here.
