Firefighters rescue dog that 'crossed a 40-foot-long and 6-inch-wide crown molding shelf' and got stuck above a doorway

TEMPE, Ariz. — You've probably heard about firefighters saving cats from trees, but what about saving huskies from heights?

Enter Milo, an adorable husky whose sense of adventure got him stuck above the door of his Tempe home and required a crew of firefighters to get him down.

The Tempe Fire Department posted about the "unusual" call Friday morning after Milo was safely back on solid ground.

"To get to that area, Milo crossed a 40-foot-long and 6-inch-wide crown molding shelf! Engineer Nolan was up to the task of carrying the large dog back down to be reunited with his family," the department said.

They got plenty of pictures of Milo's rescue, and of him being a good boy.

"Hope Milo learned his lesson- don’t climb up if you can’t climb back down safely!"
