Her story began on March 31, when AHS received a call about a kitten stuck in the ceiling of an apartment. She had been up there for at least 24 hours.

AHS emergency techs Kenzee and Julie were able to locate the kitten using a heat sensor and safely remove her from the ceiling.

Nala was just two weeks old at the time of her rescue and was immediately taken to AHS’ Lazin Animal Foundation Trauma Hospital. The veterinarian said she was underweight for her age, dehydrated, had minor cuts on her abdomen and had an upper respiratory infection.

Nala was treated and then placed into the care of one of AHS's foster heroes, who raised her until she was old enough to be adopted.

You can visit Nala at AHS’ PetSmart location in Scottsdale to see if she is a good fit for your family.

Nala is not the only pet waiting for adoption within the AHS system, you can click here to see all the animals in need of a good home.

AHS is currently over capacity in its Bottle Baby ICU with 59 orphaned neonate kittens and in need of Foster Heroes who can help out. More information about the program can be found here.
