PHOENIX — Looking for a new "fur-ever" friend? The Arizona Animal Welfare League is making adopting that cute furry friend even easier.

From now until July 21, pets over 1-year-old are available for adoption with no fees at the AAWL's main campus in Phoenix as well as the Chandler location.

The waived fees are made possible by the BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters initiative, a news release from AAWL said.

Many shelters are at or over capacity in Arizona and across the country, making this initiative even more impactful.
