This little piggy was wandering through a neighborhood. Soon he’ll be looking for a forever home.

Named Simon by his rescuers, the six-month old piglet is now at Better Piggies Rescue in Phoenix, and will be up for adoption soon.

PHOENIX — This little piggy is "living his best life!"

After wandering through a neighborhood for a few weeks, Simon the six-month old piglet was rescued and is safe at Phoenix-based Better Piggies Rescue.

According to the rescue, Simon, who was named by his rescuers, was abandoned by his family. Before being rescued by Humane Animal Rescue and Trapping Team Arizona, Simon survived by living in bushes and friendly neighbors giving him fruits and veggies said the Better Piggies Rescue group.

Now, Simon lives with piglets his age and size – his instant best friends – at Better Piggies. Simon was recently neutered, getting him one step closer to being ready for adoption.

Better Piggies Rescue is a non-profit organization started in 2017 by Danielle Betterman. There are currently 160 rescue pigs at the sanctuary.
