LULING, Texas — Everything is bigger in Texas so it's only fitting that the title of world's largest Buc-ee's should be back in the Lone Star State where it belongs.
Buc-ee's will open its new 75,000-square-foot travel center in Luling on June 10. For those of you keeping score, that's 1,000 square feet larger than the Tennessee store that opened in 2023.

The new Luling store on I-10 is replacing the brand's first family travel center, which was built there in 2003.
Along with the "world’s cleanest bathrooms and friendliest beaver," it will feature 120 fuel stations and favorites like Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, jerky and Beaver Nuggets.
“We are thrilled to open the doors to the world’s largest Buc-ee’s travel center right here in the Great State of Texas,” said Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development, Stan Beard. “It’s particularly exciting, considering this is the Buc-ee’s that started it all, so we are really looking forward to celebrating with the incredible people of Luling.”
This will be the beloved beaver's 50th store, including 36 in Texas.
Travelers can also make pit stops at Buc-ee's in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri and Colorado. Buc-ee’s broke ground on the first Virginia and Mississippi locations earlier this year.
Business Insider recently ranked Buc-ee's fifth for highest-paying entry-level retail jobs across the country.
Employees get a minimum starting wage of $18.18 an hour. The minimum wage in Texas is $7.25 an hour, the same as the federal minimum wage. They also offer a 6% matching 401K and three weeks of paid vacation.
