SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - If you've ever been to the OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale you'll remember the bathroom. Apparently, according to Cintas Corporation, it's the best restroom in the country.
According to a release, the company, which provides specialized products and services to other companies, including restroom supplies, named OdySea Aquarium the winner of its annual America's Best Restroom contest.
The Scottsdale aquarium was selected from a list of ten finalist, which included places from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to Doughnut Plant in New York. The finalists were chosen based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.
The bathroom, which has a view into the shark tank, is quite the attraction.
“From Penguin Point to our SeaTrek® Helmet Diving, we have countless amazing attractions, and now we can add our restrooms to that list,” Dr. Amram Knishinsky, founder of OdySea Aquarium, said in a release. “We’re proud to accept the award and are extremely grateful to everyone who voted for us.”
With the win, OdySea Aquarium will receive a "royal restroom treatment" which includes $2,500 in facility services or a restroom cleaning, according to a release.
“This fun, engaging contest shines a spotlight on trending toilets while also conveying a critical message that restroom hygiene impacts the success of a business,” Sean Mulcahey, marketing manager at Cintas, said.
