The Biggest Loser looks for winners

The hit NBC show is casting for its next season and is looking for teams of two looking to lose weight and be on TV.
Casting for the next season of The Biggest Loser starts this weekend.

The NBC hit show, The Biggest Loser, is now looking for its next big winner.

Casting for the next season starts this weekend in Los Angeles, where Katie Burgess and Erica Goings will try to find the next reality stars who are looking to change their lives.

"This season we're looking for couples," Goings said. "Husband; wife. Mother; daughter. Father; son. Best friends. As long as you have a connection with each other and you've struggled with your weight together, we want to see you."

One other thing -- both people have to be at least 80 pounds overweight and willing to share their story.

"We're looking for different dynamics," Burgess said. "Basically, people willing to open up to us at the table and individuals who are not shy and just really want to better their lives."

"We want those people who are relatable, [who] can articulate their story well... it's TV -- don't be boring; have some personality. Simple stuff, really," Goings said.

But if it's not that simple for you, and you're worried about your weight, don't shy away from the show and these casting producers because they've been in your shoes.

"It's dear to my heart," Burgess said. "It's personal to me and Erica. We love being there and being a sounding board for individuals. Don't think too much about it. You might fluster and leave being frustrated. Just come and chat with us."

Here are the details for the open call on July 11:

10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Skirball Cultural Center
2701 North Sepulveda Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90049

If you can't make it, don't worry. You can submit an audition on video here. The casting producers said don't just be a talking head on the video. They want to see your personality and how being overweight affects you.
