FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Flagstaff is a college town in Northern Arizona with beautiful mountains, tons of hiking trails and, according to Spotify, a ton of fans of indie pop and alternative rock.
There's a new feature with this year's Spotify Wrapped, which is a personalized recap of what you listened to most during the year. It's called "Sound Towns," and it takes your listening habits and put you in a city where others had similar music styles.
X, formerly known as Twitter, users have been sharing their Sound Towns and Flagstaff seems to be a popular place for listeners of bands like Paramore, Pearl Jam, The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins and even Lana Del Rey.
Tempe is a popular place for rap music
Flagstaff wasn't the only Arizona location that was a popular Sound Town on Spotify. Several users got Tempe as their musical destination.
Tempe seems to be popular with those who frequently listen to rap music. Kanye West, Mac Miller, Drake, Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj were popular artists in the Sound Town.
Tempe was also a popular location for Taylor Swift fans, according to Spotify.
How to see your Spotify Wrapped 2023
To access your personalized streaming round-up, open the Spotify app on a mobile device or view it on any browser by visiting Spotify.com/Wrapped.
If you're on your phone, you should see a button on the Spotify home screen that says "Your 2023 Wrapped," then click on "Your Wrapped" on the next screen.
This will then take you through an Instagram Story-style slideshow of your top artists, songs, genres, podcasts and other lists. You'll also get to see stats like how many minutes you spent listening to music and how your streaming habits compare to others around the world.
At the end of the slideshow there's an option to share your results on social media and to listen to a playlist of your top songs from 2023.
