PHOENIX — Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has canceled several upcoming shows, including one in Phoenix at the Footprint Center, due to issues with his back.
"Carlos has been dealing with a back issue that will soon be treated with a corrective procedure," a statement to Santana's Facebook page said.
The medical procedure caused the cancellation of his shows in Phoenix, Albuquerque and Las Vegas.
The statement said tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. If tickets were purchased through another vendor, it is recommended that the ticketholder contact the company.
Santana's shows scheduled for the rest of August are planned to proceed.
