Jeff Vinton is the Sports Digital Producer at 12News.
Vinton came to 12News in 2019 as a news producer, working on 12News at 4, 5, 6 and 10 for two years before becoming the station’s sports producer, where he worked on 12Sports Tonight and Friday Night Fever. After two years in that role, he transitioned to the digital team at 12News and took on the role of Sports Digital Producer.
Highlights of Vinton’s career in Arizona include covering the Arizona Diamondbacks run to the 2023 World Series, producing Friday Night Fever for three seasons and helping lead the station’s coverage of the 2020 shooting at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale.
Prior to working at 12News, Vinton broke into journalism as a Multimedia News Producer at 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia, and worked in that role for three years.
Vinton is a 2015 graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. He has been nominated for and won three Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy Awards and has won a Georgia Association of Broadcasters Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.
