Trisha started her reporting career in northwestern Montana in 2006 at KPAX-TV. She worked out of the Kalispell bureau and covered the Flathead Valley. In the fall of 2007, Trisha was promoted to the main station in Missoula to anchor the weekend shows and report during the week.
Two years later she was hired on at 12News in Phoenix as a multimedia journalist/planner/producer and fill-in traffic anchor. During that time Trisha covered a wide range of stories including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords shooting in Tucson and the largest wildfire in Arizona State history - the Wallow fire in eastern Arizona. She is now a reporter/multimedia journalist for 12News.
Trisha was promoted to cover northern Arizona as a general assignment reporter and multimedia journalist in the fall of 2011. After working out of the Flagstaff bureau for two years, she was promoted again to report for 12News out of the main station in Phoenix where she is currently based.
During her career, Trisha's work has contributed to winning a number of station Emmys for 12News. She has also been nominated for an Emmy for her work producing, shooting, editing and reporting on her Explore Arizona series, where she traveled around the state bringing viewers an up close and personal look at unique adventures the Grand Canyon state has to offer.
Trisha was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona.
She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in communication. Trisha is a proud third-generation ASU Sun Devil. Her grandfather was quarterback at ASU back in the 50s. During college Trisha interned with three Phoenix television stations and volunteered her time working on-air for a nonprofit radio station for the blind.
Throughout her broadcasting career, Trisha has had the privilege of meeting many politicians and celebrities.
She has covered thousands of stories that touch people's lives. Many times the stories that impact people the most are extremely emotional - like the Yarnell Hill Fire she covered that claimed the lives of 19 Granite Mountain hotshots. Trisha's favorite stories are the ones that inspire others.
When Trisha is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family and friends.
